High-performance engineering thermoplastics, performance fibers and thermoplastic composites dramatically reduce weight, improve reliability and provide safety for extreme applications.  Now they are being adapted to fit the needs of ground defense components.

The Celanese portfolio of high-performance engineering polymers offer opportunities for use in components found on central command and control stations, transportation and tactical vehicles, ground-based wireless integrated network sensors, salite data stations and soldiers on the ground.  They are designed to remain hard, impact-resistant, stiff when exposed to elevated temperatures and aggressive fuels, and lighter than traditional materials used in similar applications.
