Thor VM2具有有點火控制系統(tǒng)，它可以對設(shè)備進(jìn)行配置，使設(shè)備在叉車熄火后的一定時間內(nèi)，自動進(jìn)入休眠或待機(jī)狀態(tài)，減少由于車輛電池耗盡所造成的維修費用或降低工作效率。另外，設(shè)備的“自動啟動”功能還可以觸發(fā)直流電源供電，而無需通過開關(guān)來啟動。

Thor VM2配備有高速的1.6GHz Atom Z530處理器，802.11 WLAN無線和藍(lán)牙無線連接也是標(biāo)準(zhǔn)配置。另外，設(shè)備還可選裝WWAN無線連接，以用于港口、開放場地及其它戶外應(yīng)用場所。Thor VM2 采用為倉庫管理任務(wù)優(yōu)化的微軟Windows CE 6.0 操作系統(tǒng)，也可采用為臺式機(jī)/筆記本環(huán)境擴(kuò)展和移動而設(shè)計的Windows?嵌入式標(biāo)準(zhǔn)操作系統(tǒng)。
Thor VM2支持霍尼韋爾遠(yuǎn)程智多星(Remote MasterMind?)3.0設(shè)備管理軟件。作為業(yè)界*一款整合掃描器和移動終端設(shè)備的管理軟件，遠(yuǎn)程智多星3.0可以用于遠(yuǎn)程監(jiān)測和保護(hù)遺失的設(shè)備、對設(shè)備進(jìn)行注冊和配置、追蹤公司資產(chǎn)、實現(xiàn)強(qiáng)有力的密碼保護(hù)功能。此外，霍尼韋爾RFTerm終端仿真軟件也與Thor VM2兩種操作系統(tǒng)的設(shè)備兼容。
