The combination of several plastic materials with different attributes and/or different colors into one component in a single cycle with integrated downstream steps, such as bonding, assembly and screwing, opens up new dimensions in product properties with simultaneous cost-efficiency.
The WITTMANN BATTENFELD know-how includes all process variants such as multi-color, composite, assembly, multi-component and sandwich injection molding. Based on the SmartPower series, the multi-component SmartPower offers the right packages for all types of multi-component technology with an extensive range of optional extras and a great variety of combinations. This allows optimal adaptation of the machine, mold and automation technology to every individual product.

The COMBIMOULD series is available in 3-platen technology with clamping forces ranging from 60 to 400 t, and in 2-platen MacroPower technology from 400 to 2,000 t clamping force.
Combination options for injection units:
- V-configuration: injection into the mold parting line from above.
- L-configuration: injection into the mold parting line from the rear.
- S-configuration: positioned diagonally above the horizontal injection unit.
Adaptive rotary unit:
The optional adaptive rotatory device is already servo-electric in the standard version. It has a very low installation height. Fast and precise rotatory movements reduce the cyle time significantly.

The electrical servo drive is highly dynamic, allowing for short rotation intervals and parallel movements, resulting in shorter cycle times. - High flexibility
High flexibility is achieved by simplicity of installation and removal of the rotary unit. Where necessary, the unit can be deactivated via the control system. This shortens changeover time. - Operator and mold safety
Optimal operator and mold safety are ensured by damping of the end-position control and the indexing device.
